What are the COVID-19 protocols for Commencement?
To be able to host an in-person graduation, we are following several protocols:
- Tickets are required for all attendees.
- Face coverings are required both indoors and outdoors for ALL attendees. The only exception is if someone presents proper medical documentation that permits them to not wear a face covering. If you do not have medical documentation and do not wish to wear a face covering, you will not be permitted entry into the venue.
- Physical distancing will also be required. Guests will sit together in their “pods” based on the graduate they’re supporting. Those who have previously requested accessibility requirements will sit in the accessible seating areas.
What if one of my guests has accessibility needs?
Accessibility requests must be submitted in advance by email to email@example.com. If you have not yet requested accessibility accommodations, please do so by April 30. Those with accessibility needs (along with another guest with a ticket) will be permitted to sit in the accessible seating area.
How many tickets do graduates receive?
Graduates receive a ticket for themselves and six (6) guest tickets. Graduates are responsible for distributing tickets to their guest. If they don’t pick up their tickets until the morning of May 8, they’ll need to come to will call, get their tickets and then hand off to their guest(s) prior to entering the graduate entrance. No attendee will be permitted entry to the Convention Center without a ticket.
What if I forget my ticket?
You must hold on to your ticket as your ticket is required for entry. This is no different than a concert or other event.
