What is your favorite memory from your time at WVU Tech?
My favorite memory from WVU Tech was the time I spent with the volleyball team in the locker room, on the court, during van rides, and at hotels.
What did you enjoy most about the accounting program?
I enjoyed how hands-on my in-person courses were. Being able to actively work through problems, participate in discussions, and apply concepts during class helped me better understand real-world applications like financial reporting, which made me feel more prepared for my future career.
How did Tech prepare you for the future?
WVU Tech prepared me by giving me both technical accounting knowledge and critical thinking skills.
Which person at Tech has had the biggest impact on your college experience? How has that person helped you?
Susan Wood and Dr. Angelia have had the biggest impact on my college experience. Susan helped me secure an internship at the last minute and provided me with the hands-on experience I needed to prepare for my career. Dr. Angelia has supported me since my freshman year, guiding me to become a better student and giving valuable advice to help me prepare for my future.
As a soon-to-be graduate, what is your best advice for incoming students?
My advice is to stay organized, manage your time well, and do not be afraid to ask for help. Also, take advantage of opportunities like internships, community service, and clubs because they will help you in the long run.
What will you miss most about Tech?
I will miss the supportive environment that Tech provides, the friendships I have built, and the sense of community that made my college experience so meaningful.
