As a result of inclement weather in the surrounding area, West Virginia University Institute of Technology will be closed January 26, 2026.

WVU Tech on-campus operations will be closed and classes will be cancelled beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, January 26, 2026, due to winter weather. Only employees designated as essential should report to campus for their normal shifts. Employees designated as non-essential are not to report to work on campus or remotely.

On-site employees should communicate with their supervisors to determine if they are required to work on site during the closure. The College will apply the Inclement Weather/Emergency Closure Compensation policy for on-site employees affected by the closure.

The University is scheduled to resume normal operations at 12:01a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 27); however, officials will continue to closely monitor reports from the National Weather Service, as well as state, local and campus conditions.
