Renovated construction management classroom unveiled

Thanks to a generous donation from Jarrett Construction, West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech) has a brand-new learning space dedicated to instructing construction management students.

A ribbon cutting was held to unveil the newly renovated classroom space to students and the community on Tuesday, October 24.

Dr. Deborah R. Weiner to speak on Jewish life in Appalachian coalfields on WVU Tech campus

West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech) and the City of Beckley are partnering to bring Dr. Deborah R. Weiner, a historian, writer, editor and curator, to Carter Hall on Tech’s campus for the 13th Annual Otis K. Rice Lecture series. Dr. Weiner’s talk, "A Century of Jewish Life in the Appalachian Coalfields," will be held in the Carter Hall auditorium on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 6:30 p.m.

Beckley Campus nursing students form organization to support holistic health in the community

BECKLEY, W.Va. – A group of undergraduate nursing students at the WVU School of Nursing Beckley Campus recently formed a new student organization focused on supporting and improving holistic health in southern West Virginia.

Led by trained faith community nurse and faculty member Dr. Peggy Lambert-Fink, Faith Community Health is a new student organization on the Beckley Campus, located at WVU Tech.
