Beckley, W. Va. – West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech) is hosting Camp STEM again this year, southern West Virginia’s premier camp for high school students interested in science, technology, engineering and math. The camp will be June 25-30, 2023 on WVU Tech’s campus. Students will stay on campus in a residence hall and will move in on June 25 and move out June 30. Applications and deposits are due May 22, 2023 by 4:30 p.m.
Beckley, W.Va. – West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech) celebrated nearly 200 graduates who completed their degrees on Saturday, May 6 at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center.
Graduating from college is a milestone achievement in anyone’s life. Graduating from college with honors while being a young business owner and working full time in your small business is another milestone entirely.
Hunter Tolliver owns Tolli’s Lawn Care, a small business that handles lawn care, mulching, landscaping and more. Tolliver is a Beckley native who graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and was drawn to WVU Tech initially because of the engineering program and location.
We recently sat down with graduating senior Luis James, a business management major from Colombia, South America. He’s also graduating with minors in marketing and economics.
