A notice about construction noise on Montgomery Campus during preparation of HiRise demolition

Some may have noticed an increase in noise and activity near the WVU Tech HiRise residence hall on the Montgomery campus recently as preparations are made for demolition of the building.

As part of the lease-purchase agreement with KVC Health Systems, WVU has hired Dore & Associates through the state bidding process to raze and remove the structure. The tentative date for demolition of HiRise is Sunday, June 4, but preparations for the removal have already begun.

WVU Tech to host commencement events May 5-6

WVU Tech will see a round of commencement events on Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6.

On Friday, May 5, the first multicultural graduation ceremony will be hosted at 5:30 p.m. in the Ballroom. The ceremony will highlight the college’s diverse graduating population and will swear in new officers to the Black Student Union. David M. Fryson, Esq., WVU Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, will be the keynote speaker for the ceremony.
