As a result of inclement weather in the surrounding area, West Virginia University Institute of Technology will be on a two-hour delay for December 12, 2025.
WVU Tech will be closed from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2025. Employees designated as essential should report to campus for their normal shifts. Employees designated as non-essential will begin work at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 12.
Employees who work remotely or on a hybrid schedule should not begin work until 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 12.
On-site employees should communicate with their supervisors to determine if they are required to work on site during the closure. The University will apply the Inclement Weather/Emergency Closure Compensation policy for on-site employees affected by the closure.
Douglas Terry, Assistant Professor of English, teaches courses in English composition, American literature, and popular culture. His research examines race and education in 19th and 20th century American literature, particularly in newspapers and periodicals. He holds a Ph.D. from West Virginia University.
