Biz Blitz Boot Camp
A full day of hands-on sessions designed to help high school students build teamwork, communication, leadership, career readiness and real-world business skills.

Registration & Breakfast
Students will check in and start the day with breakfast before the official welcome.
9:00 a.m.
Welcome
Participants will be welcomed to WVU Tech and introduced to the day’s activities.
9:15 a.m.
Marshmallow Challenge
Students will compete to build the tallest structure using spaghetti, tape, string and a marshmallow while learning how communication, team roles, problem-solving and group dynamics shape success.
10:00 a.m.
You Are What You Eat!
Sport Management faculty will lead students through an interactive session on nutrition, macronutrients, wellness, BMI and the connection between healthy choices and performance.
11:00 a.m.
The Big Cheese Experience
Students will step into the Culinary Department to explore kitchen techniques, creativity and the business of food while designing their own custom pizzas.
12:15 p.m.
Lunch
Participants will enjoy the custom pizzas they created while connecting with new friends, sharing their culinary creations and recharging for the afternoon sessions.

What Not To Wear
This lively session will help students prepare for interviews with confidence while learning how clothing choices, professional presentation and workplace expectations affect first impressions.
1:30 p.m.
Launch Your Future: Pathway to Success
Students will explore how their interests, values, strengths and skills connect to future career opportunities and college pathways through guided discussion and self-reflection.
2:15 p.m.
Keep It Rolling
In this fast-paced pipeline challenge, students will rely on teamwork, trust, communication and quick thinking to keep the ball moving from start to finish.
2:30 p.m.
Risky Business: Ready, Set, Secure
Students will explore risk management, facility safety, emergency planning and the business side of managing sport and recreation environments.
3:15 p.m.
Can You Hear Me Now?
This session focuses on active listening as a leadership and communication skill that builds trust, reduces conflict and strengthens teams.
3:45 p.m.
Closing
Students will complete a quick feedback survey, reflect on the day and receive an exclusive Biz Blitz Boot Camp T-shirt before departing.
