Campus President

West Virginia University invites nominations and applications for the position of Campus President of West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech). WVU Tech is part of the WVU system of campuses. Reporting to Maryanne Reed, the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs of West Virginia University, the Campus President serves as the chief executive officer for WVU Tech and assumes responsibility and provides overall leadership and direction for all aspects of campus administration, including academic leadership, strategic planning, personnel development and management, and budget development for the campus.

WVU Tech serves more than 1,600 students representing more than 25 states and 30 countries. It was founded in 1895 as the Montgomery Preparatory School and has a rich history of academic excellence. WVU Tech is governed by the West Virginia University Board of Governors and the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission. As a division of West Virginia University, WVU Tech is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Nine programs in the Leonard C. Nelson College of Engineering and Sciences are ABET accredited while the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education specifically accredits the school’s nursing programs. WVU Tech consists of the College of Business, Humanities and Social Sciences, the Leonard C. Nelson College of Engineering and Sciences, and a branch of the WVU School of Nursing. The ideal candidate will have a terminal degree in a relevant field; significant progressively responsible experience in program development, marketing, budget, personnel supervision; and experience as a faculty member. The successful candidate will be someone who can develop new initiatives to enhance WVU Tech’s vision to become a nationally recognized and preeminent regional undergraduate STEM teaching institution with well-balanced curricula across diverse academic disciplines.
