WVU Tech announces updates to on-campus operations for Thursday, February 11 in anticipation of inclement weather

As a precaution, WVU Tech in Beckley will adjust on-campus operations for Thursday, February 11, 2021 due to anticipated inclement weather and deteriorating road conditions.

Thursday was previously designated as a non-instructional date on the academic calendar. As a result, no classes were scheduled.

Employees should work with their supervisors to shift to online/virtual work for the day, if possible. Essential employees are to report. Employees should discuss work needs and location assignments with their supervisors due to pending inclement weather.

Dining Services

Campus dining services locations will operate on regular schedule.

Library

The library will open at 10:00 a.m.

Barnes and Noble Bookstore at WVU Tech

The bookstore will be closed on Thursday, February 11.

Additional Updates

University officials will continue to closely monitor reports from the National Weather Service and will provide additional updates if necessary. Those updates will be provided via WVU Tech e-alert, WVU Tech official Facebook and Twitter accounts and campus (WVU/MIX) email.

Students and employees are encouraged to update their information and ensure it is correct in the e-alert system. Students are automatically enrolled and also have the option to add contact information for parents or other family members through their account. Faculty and staff are urged to register with WVU Tech Alert or update their information if already registered.
