WVU Tech to host Homecoming weekend October 6-7

WVU Tech will host its first Homecoming weekend activities on the Beckley campus this Friday and Saturday.  

On Friday, October 6, WVU Tech scholarship recipients and donors will gather in Carter Hall to celebrate student accomplishments and meet with Campus President Carolyn Long at 11 a.m. Also on Friday, WVU Tech Career Services and WVU Tech Alumni Relations will host a business etiquette dinner for students at 6 p.m.

Saturday’s activities include a parade along South Kanawha Street at 11:30 a.m., a community picnic immediately after the parade, men’s and women’s soccer games at the YMCA Paul Cline Memorial Youth Sports Complex at 4 p.m. and family-friendly events at 410 Neville Street during Beckley Chili Night.

WVU Tech’s Homecoming Court will be announced between the soccer games on Saturday at approximately 5:45 p.m.
