Family Weekend

We’re celebrating our Golden Bear family, and we want you to be there.


Family Weekend is $50 per family of five. Extra guests: $10 (or $5 for children 12 and under). Price includes admission and a special gift. 
Visitors are encouraged to attend events with an asterisk(*). Other events are optional. Schedule is subject to change.

Sign-up to participate in the Family Weekend Ping Pong Tournament between Hogan and University Residence Halls. The finals will be played on Saturday night.

Tech Adventure Guided Hikes
WVU Tech Adventures staff on one of two hikes in gorgeous southern West Virginia.
Piney Point Hike is a short (1.3 mile each way) rolling hill hike from the corner of the YMCA soccer complex. We will hike through the forest over to an astounding view of the Piney Creek Gorge far above the creek you get 180 degree views. We will hang out and enjoy the view and then head back. Should only take about 90 minutes to two hours.
Grandview Hike is a a short easy hike to an amazing overlook. We will meet at the soccer complex to load the van. This hike is limited to only 9. We will hike through rock formations on rolling terrain for about one mile to the overlook for the New River Gorge from about '1000 above the river and take in the amazing view.

In addition to this service, families may also donate food items to One Voice. Specifically  items that a child may open and prepare for themselves. Sample Items.
Help alleviate hunger by joining WVU Tech student in packing non-perishable weekend snack bags for children throughout Raleigh and Wyoming counties in Southern West Virginia. For information, visit the One Voice website
