National Society of Professional Engineers sponsors the Innovative Engineering Award to recognize the most outstanding engineering project at the regional fair.
Winners at the Regional fair will receive a certificate and a lapel pin. The society will later send the recipient a one year subscription to Engineering Times and information about careers and scholarship opportunities in engineering.
Criteria:
1. Demonstrated technical competence.
2. Superior verbal and written presentation.
3. Professional appearance and demeanor (personal and project)
4. Awareness of ethical implications of engineering preferred
5. Preference given to projects in Engineering category; if a project from another category is considered, it MUST demonstrate APPLIED engineering priciples.
