The WVU Institute of Technology Residence Life Office has compiled a list of items which we feel would enable you to make your stay at Tech an enjoyable and comfortable one

We provide each student with:  
Bed and Mattress (x-long twin)      Drawer Space
Mattress pad Study Lamp
Desk Chair
Closet Space  Mini Blinds
Cable Jack (1 per room) Ethernet Connection (1 per room)
Telephone Jack with voicemail (1 per room)  

 

Each hall is also equipped with:

 
Individual Mailboxes Payphones
Coin Operated Washers (1.25) Kitchenette Area
Coin Operated Dryers (1.25) Vending Machines
Recreation Area with TV  

 

You should provide:

 
Sheets (XL twin) (regular flat sheets will work)  Clock
Pillow Cases Telephone (1 per room)
Pillows Small Microwave
Blankets Trash Can
Towels Surge Protector/Heavy Duty Extension Cord
Throw Rugs or Carpet (Coed or Hirise) Cleaning supplies (broom/dustpan, etc.)
Small Refrigerator (3 cu.ft.) Television (1 per room)
Fans  (round, square, tall, short)

Any other personal items you feel are necessary.

The college assumes no responsibility for theft, damage or loss of money, valuables or personal items. It is essential that you check with your family concerning the extent of coverage under existing insurance policies. For those students that still may need private insurance, contact National Student Services, Inc.
