Success...at attaining your degree Training...for your career Achievement...of your academic goals Results...that empower you for life The Student Support Services (SSS) Program is an academic support service funded by Title IV Grant of the Higher Education Act of 1965. The grant sponsored by the U. S. Department of Education is funded to serve 215 eligible WVU Tech students at no cost to the student. SSS is one of several TRIO Programs that are committed to providing education opportunity for all Americans regardless of race, ethnic background, or economic circumstance. The SSS Program provides opportunities for academic development, assists students with basic college requirements, and serves to motivate students towards the successful completion of their postsecondary education. Students can apply to become a participant at any point in their undergraduate career (freshman to senior) and at any point in the semester. Participation in the program is on a first-come first-served basis. Grant aid may also be provided to participants who are receiving Federal Pell Grants. The goal of Student Support Services is to increase the college retention and graduation rates of its participants and facilitate the process of transition from one level of higher education to the next. LocationSSS offices have recently moved to the East Wing, 1st Floor, Ratliff Hall. The entrance is at the front of Ratliff Hall. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. Offices are open year-round. We encourage you to stop by our office anytime. ![]() |
