The WVU Tech American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) student chapter will be sponsoring the 47th Annual ASCE Fall Technical Conference on Thursday, November 17, 2011, on the Montgomery campus.
The conference will feature faculty, students, and practicing engineers from a variety of engineering disciplines. Conference participants are eligible for five professional development hours, based on the final discretion of the WV State Board of Registration.
“We’re excited to be able to bring this caliber of expertise to our campus,” explained Caitlyn Motes, civil engineering major and vice-president of the Tech ASCE student chapter.
Cost to attend the conference is $175 for non-ASCE members, $125 for ASCE members, and $20 for faculty and students. For the conference schedule and registration information, please visit wvutech.edu or email ASCEFallConf@mail.wvu.edu.
Dr. Jason Hill, assistant professor of civil engineering and ASCE faculty advisor, commented, “This year looks to be another great conference! We are especially proud to welcome back Dr. Haney Farran from Cal Poly Pomona.”
