dear tech alumni

As many of you may know, we are currently restructuring the Tech Alumni Association.  As we look forward to expanding the services provided to WVU Tech, its alumni and friends, I want to begin by acknowledging the contributions of each of our past directors and we thank them for all their hard work they have done.

Through the Tech Alumni Association, alumni can get involved in special programming and social events such as Homecoming, regional alumni receptions and new student recruiting. We also produce the “Tech News” alumni magazine two times each year.  If you haven’t been receiving your copy, please contact us.

Private giving is critical to the fulfillment of our mission as one of West Virginia’s leading institutions of higher education.  You can help support WVU Tech and the Community & Technical College at WVU Tech, by joining students, alumni, corporations, foundations and friends by giving through Tech Foundation, Inc. and the Tech Alumni Association.

We call upon all alumni and friends to join our team as we help keep Tech the strong and venerable institution that it has always been.  An active alumni association can help us reach out to attract new students.  At the same time, we can provide our current students the support they need as they work toward earning their degree.

There are many ways we alumni can help make a difference here at Tech, and have some fun too.  From sponsoring the oil drum regatta or donating to the reverse raffle, there are many ways you can help.  Please consider forming an alumni chapter where you live.  We’ll be happy to help you get started.  One way to make a difference is to let your friends, neighbors, and colleagues know that Tech is not only an excellent school, but a great bargain as well.  The good that our alumni association can do is only as limited as all the talented contributions each of you make.

I am hoping that soon I will be hearing from some of our very best ambassadors, you, our Tech Alumni.

It takes the participation of many to ensure the growth and vitality of Tech—an outstanding institution that has graduated thousands of alumni who have gone on to greatly impact our state, nation, and world!

Sincerely,
