Economic Development

The West Virginia University Institute of Technology meets its obligation to support economic development in the region and the state through its responsive programs. WVU Tech tailors academic programs, conducts an extensive variety of workforce development education and training programs, and assists entrepreneurial efforts of small businesses throughout the region.  To further assist in this effort, WVU Tech will provide links to a variety of information that defines the economic development environment within the state and the region.  This information is in the form of economic forecasts, job employment and wage data, and several topical studies and articles.  We also think that the role of higher education in meeting the economic development needs of the state requires the visibility that arises by facilitated access through the site you are currently visiting.  To that end, we provide links to reports that demonstrate the “value added” by higher education in the State of West Virginia.
