Technology Requirements
If you take a distance learning course that uses WebCT, you must have access to a computer with some minimum requirements.

Computer
You must have access to a computer to take WebCT courses. If you do not have a computer at home, you can use computers at the college. You may be able to use a computer at a friend’s home or at the public library. Bear in mind that you will probably spend as much time on the computer at you normally would in a classroom.

You may use a Macintosh or a Windows-based PC. In either case, the computer should fulfill these minimum requirements:
    32 MB RAM
    2 GB hard drive

Operating System
PC: Windows 95 or later
Macintosh: OS 7.5 or later

Software
The recommended web browsers for accessing WebCT are Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer. Both of these are available for free download. For AOL users, it is recommended that you use Navigator or IE instead of the AOL browser. To do this, log onto AOL then open Navigator or IE in separate window.

Internet Access
You must use a computer with internet access. Any type of internet access is acceptable (dial-up, cable, DSL, etc.). If you can check your email and surf the web, then you do have internet access.
